String of Tears, originally Curio citriformis or Senecio citriformis, is a one-of-a-kind, slow-growing succulent with upright and trailing stems and teardrop-shaped leaves. Its natural habitat includes South Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland. 

The leaves are soft and green to deep green in color, depending on the season, with visible longitudinal stripes. Flowers are tiny, creamy-yellow, and occur on slender, wiry stalks from late summer through winter.

Senecio 'Hippogriff', also known as Curio x peregrinus or Senecio x peregrinus, is a unique succulent with leaves that resemble tiny small dolphins flying out of the surf (also known as String of Dolphins). The little star-shaped blooms develop in spring and are white to light yellow.

Aside from being a popular plant, this plant has a distinctive leaf shape and motifs resembling the back of a turtle.
