Generally, rubber plants are plants that are relaxed and easy to maintain. In addition to providing the required light and water, you only ensure the absence of pests such as scales or mealybugs. and if you encounter them, immediately treat them with a weekly horticultural oil spray (Neem), as well as wipe them regularly.

How big did the rubber plant get?


The difference in height in rubber plants will be visible along with their placement. If you put them outdoors, the rubber plant will be able to grow up to reach a height of about 30 feet (10 meters) and have a spread of about 10 feet (3.2 meters). And if grown indoors, they may be able to reach 6 to 10 feet or 2 to 3 feet tall. And this if given under the right conditions.



Rubber plants require at least 6 to 8 hours of light every day. These can be lower light at times, but it is best to give them medium to bright light. It is better to keep them away from direct sunlight as it can make their leaves burn and the color will fade.



The best time to water the Rubber plant is every 1 to 2 weeks. make sure to get the soil to dry out between watering. Opt for the more frequent end of the range when the plant is receiving more light, such as in spring or summer, and in the fall or winter, reduce the frequency.

Humidity and temperature


To know, Rubber plants are quite unfussy when it comes to the humidity. They can tolerate any level of normal room humidity. And the best temperature is 65 to 85 F degrees. Make sure not to place them in a room with a temperature below 60 F degrees.

The interaction with pets


For your information, the Rubber plant is not safe for pets. Because its milky sap is toxic. And it will be poisonous the pets and humans if consumed. make sure to keep them out of reach of small children and pets.
